PDGA members: How to get 50% off your DGN subscription in 2023

When you think of the perks of a PDGA membership, what comes to mind, exactly?

If you’re like most disc golfers, round and individual ratings are the biggest deal. For amateurs, it’s fun to put a number to the progress of your game. Random bag tags are another one. Nobody really uses them, but at least they collect dust in your junk drawer. There’s also those quarterly magazines you’d rather use as coasters on your coffee table than actual reading material.

Good news, though …

If you’re an active, card-carrying member of the PDGA, assuming you like live disc golf, you’re eligible for a BIG discount when you register for a Disc Golf Network (DGN) subscription.

Here’s the CliffNotes version of what that looks like:

  • PDGA members are eligible for a 50% discount on a monthly DGN subscription.
  • The discount only applies to monthly subscriptions – not the annual option.
  • Members will also receive free access to select DGN broadcasts.

In 2023, the “select” broadcasts in question include all rounds of the Las Vegas Challenge, PDGA Champions Cup, MVP Open at Maple Hill and United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship. It also features the final two rounds of the PDGA Professional World Championship. And just to clarify, this is included IN your PDGA membership …

No DGN subscription is required.

* Note: With no subscription, here’s how PDGA peeps access free DGN content – click here.

But you’re here for the 50% discount …

To claim your 50% discount, you’ll need a discount code. Before you locate your discount code, however, note the following: 1) Again, the code only works for monthly subscriptions, and 2) the code will only work when signing up for a monthly DGN subscription via a web browser.

Capiche?

Here’s how to generate your discount code:

  • Step No. 1 – Jot down your PDGA number, as well as your PDGA registration email.
  • Step No. 2 – Follow this link. Fill in the prompted information. Hit the “submit” button.
  • Step No. 3 – Copy the code that’s automatically generated – you’ll need it shortly.

Next, here’s how to apply your discount code:

  • Step No. 4 – Again, using ONLY a web browser, go to this page.
  • Step No. 5 – Fill in all relevant information: email, password and payment.
  • Step No. 6 – Select the monthly option, add your discount code and hit “apply.”

If you enjoy your first month of discounted DGN access, at the end of each month-long cycle, simply repeat steps one through six to re-up for another month of live disc golf coverage.

That’s it.

For the longest time, I was a “JomezPro-or-bust” kind of guy …

Now, with live disc golf at my disposal, I don’t know how I survived without it. If you’ve made the decision to spring for a full-blown PDGA membership, it’s safe to say you’re serious about disc golf. Naturally, it’s in your fanhood’s best interest to milk the PDGA for all it’s worth …

  1. Hi,
First off, I Love all the Green Splatter disc golf content. Don’t care if your ruffle some feathers, I think it’s a great blog.
Wondering, can you watch recordings of Live events with a DGN subscription? I’m interested in subscribing, but I won’t be able to watch live coverage over the weekends in most cases. If I could watch those at my convenience though, I’d subscribe in a heartbeat.
    Thanks!

    • Rory, you sure can!

If you’re a subscriber, you can go back and watch the live recordings in their entirety, but well after the fact …

You can actually go back and watch content from previous seasons, too.

WAY cool way of doing things, as you can fast-forward through all of the “fluff,” if you like.

Just do your best to avoid spoilers 🙂
