Disc golf: The 3 worst-looking manufacturer logos

Everything has its opposite.

Taylor tackled the three best-looking manufacturer logos.

And only two days later, here I am with three worst-looking ones.

You knew this was coming …

Have at it:

3. Dynamic Discs

This one’s controversial.

I don’t have any hard proof to back that up, but it feels like the Dynamic Discs logo is one Emporia residents and die-hard Trilogy throwers might have tattooed on their lower backs.

DGPT: Adam Hammes + Ricky Wysocki

Speaking of tattoos, my biggest beef with the king’s-crown design is that it also seems like something a kingpin within the MS-13 hierarchy would have Sharpied across his shoulders.

Furthermore, LeBron James’ logo looks related. Drew Gibson’s logo looks similar. Big Black’s logo looks comparable And the British Ballet Academy’s logo looks nearly identical.

Others have (clearly) been there; others have (clearly) done that.

Swing and a miss.

2. Prodigy Disc

Things I drew in the margins of my math homework in middle school:

Oh! And the five-point star …

DGPT: Alden Harris + Parker Welck + Calvin Heimburg

You know, the Prodigy Disc logo.

Literally.

1. Discmania

Discmania was founded in 2006.

Which is wild, considering the logo appears to be something plucked straight from the Microsoft Clip Art library in the early 90s. Jussi Meresmaa threw $15 and 15 minutes at an intern for this.

DGPT: Corey Ellis

And he got what he paid for …

Vector art.

Great company. Lame logo.

* Dishonorable Mention: Ah, I get it: The “O” in “Lone Star Disc” is Texas – clever.

The good news?

Things can ONLY get better for these manufacturers’ logos …

From rock-bottom, there’s nowhere to go but up.

Prepare for liftoff.

    • Thanks for reading, Cam!

Yeah, this topic is about as subjective as it gets …

For some, the D.D. logo might be the pinnacle of graphic design.
